What Is Considered impaired driving?

Impaired driving can include several related offences under the Criminal Code, including:

  • Operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs

  • Operating with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 mg of alcohol per 100 mL of blood or more

  • Operating with a prohibited drug concentration in the bloodstream

  • Refusing to comply with a lawful demand for a breath or blood sample
